Topics/Key Principles:

  • Temptation/Addiction continuum

  • Identify personal vulnerabilities & triggers - Establishing effective defenses against these to reduce the risk of falling. Allowing the mind to occupy itself with healthy thoughts, flooding out the unhealthy thoughts. Resist unhealthy choices, which evolve into unhealthy, destructive habits.

  • Truth & transparency - Built in accountability; Does a given thought or behavior help or hurt your relationship with wife/with family/with God/with self? Are you feeling like you must "hide" something?

  • Necessary boundaries - Establishing and maintaining healthy, God-centered rather than societal "feel good" standards for behavior.

  • Self-discipline = self-respect = respect for and from wife and family.

  • Commitment…to and ongoing expression of "sacrificial love" toward wife and family based on moral/Godly principals.

  • Search for healthy satisfaction - Improving the relationship or your attitude. Be creative in solutions. Blind obedience in denial of root causes for disobedience to Godly principles and unhealthy behavior can be nearly as destructive as the acts themselves.
